Aqua Farm
The Aqua farm is a confined environment for fish farming. All three phases will prepare the chapter to manage the Aqua Farm with sure confidence. Having successfully managed the other three phases will assure the success of this project. This project will be the main drive towards total independence. The chapter would be able to evaluate their progress and verify that their success was rightfully earned through hard work, community effort and persevering spirits.
Sub goal: To have a well managed and administrative sufficient Aqua farm. To raise confident leaders who are willing to serve selflessly their community. To raise a micro government system which will provide aid to their community and construct organized programs which will rebuild the family structure in a Godly manner. To manage an enterprise that is corruption free through teamwork. To gain total independence. To end poverty and hunger in Haiti. To see healthier people and to be an example to the world.
How would this help the group: This will cause the chapter to be even more of a unit. Funds from this project will open doors of opportunity for the chapter to be as creative as they possibly want. The community and the local chapter will be drawn together to solve even more problems and attain a more developed community. Scholarship program/ Microloan initiative
The Scholarship Program/ Microloan Initiative was started Spring 2008 by a nonprofit organization called Entrust. Entrust’s Owner Evan Kelle has Join forces in collaboration with Alpha Omega Psi Fraternity Inc to make a great impact on the war against poverty and hunger. We hope that many more businesses and organizations would do the same for an even greater impact. Jumpstarting jobs in Haiti are the sure way of getting this country out of its disastrous situation.
Entrust is a non-profit organization that TreeWorkNow.com’s owner, Evan Keller, is in the process of founding. It will be a mico-enterprise organization partnering with underprivileged people in developing countries to combat chronic poverty. Through small loans and business mentoring, program participants have the opportunity of working their way out of poverty. This “Empowerment through Enterprise” has become a proven method of poverty reduction worldwide in recent decades.
Evan has visited Haiti three times in the past year in order to establish relationships and develop the first micro-loan and scholarship program which is now being launched. A portion of our proceeds are going to sponsor this program, as well as the drilling of a well in a waterless Haitian village, the establishment of a motorcycle taxi business for five Haitian men, and the planting of 100 gardens in a under-nourished village.
School adoption initiative
There are many Haitian citizens in Haiti who loves and care for their country. They are willing to sacrifice their time, what little resources they have and effort to care for the future and spiritual life of the Haitian community. One person in particular is a man by the name of Kesner Mondesier who started a church/school in an abandoned voodoo infested community. Pastor Kesner Mondesier is the pastor of Eglise Evangelique Communautaire de Jwano, located in Tabare Haiti. He was one day approached by one of the members of his church who lives in a village called Rachet Jwano Commene de Thomazear. Her name is Maire Loud. She has been a member of his assembly for quite some time now and decided that it was time for God to do some major clean up in her village. We sat down with Pastor Kesner in a personal interview to hear about this life changing experience of Racket Jwano. A once captive of Satan’s domain but now a renewed community owned by God. Hear /read the story about this physically/spiritually transformed village.

How can you help?
The name if the school is called Ecole Communautaire Evangelique Jean Kesner Mondesier. Pastor Kesner is the founder/director of the school. He started the school on October 2002 with 300 students. The school was supported by 3 sponsors from the US who gave a total of $1,500.00USD for the school to function. When the economic crisis occurred in the US, he lost all 3 sponsors. The pastor was left to figure out how he was going continue paying the professors and still be able to run the school on limited to funds. Finally he decided to come to the US to raise some funds for the school. He went to a couple of Haitian churches and received just enough funds to run the school for a few semesters.
With limited funds to work with, the pastor had no other choice but to start consolidating classes together and laying off some of the professors. Pastor Kesner stated that he spent restless nights trying to figure out ways to continue supporting the school without laying off any more teachers because the load is already heavy on the remaining professors. The pastor tried to raise more fund, but was unsuccessful. Finally he sent notice to the parents of the problem that he was having and warned the parents that the school is on the verge of shutting down because of lack of financial support.
As funds continue to deplete, he started using money from his own pocket to fund the school. As the director of the school, the pastor uses his personal vehicle to commute the professors to the school every day to teach the students. The pastor explained that he did this because he has chosen some of the finest teacher he knew for the job. He chose teacher who were smart, creative and who really cares about the future of his students. The pastor has adopted this community as his own. The pastor hoped that things would get better, but on September 19, 2008, the pastor was in a disastrous accident where he was directly hit and pinned against the outside driver side of his own vehicle. The pastor fractured his tib/fib in two places and was in severe unbearable pain. Now the pastor cannot use his vehicle to commute the teachers to the school because his vehicle is not drivable. Instead he allocated the responsibility to a friend to commute the teachers while he ran the school from a hospital bed at home and a house phone.
Currently the school is at a halt because funds are completely depleted. The pastor is looking for sponsors to help fund the school so that he can reopen in October 2009. If you are interested please make your payment out to Alpha Omega Psi Fraternity Inc. and on the memo please write school sponsorship. Please take part in reviving this school ministry for the spiritual and educational need of this community.
